9261 Alley Oop Ln, Iraan, TX 79744
Alley Oop Fantasy Land (often called Alley Oop Land) is a park-and-museum combo on the edge of Iraan, hometown of cartoonist V.T. Hamlin, who dreamed up the time-traveling caveman comic Alley Oop after digging into local dinosaur-era finds. The outdoor area is famous for oversized figures, Oop, Dinny, Oola, and friends, while the Iraan museum side folds in Permian Basin oil history, fossils, and regional artifacts.
The park is often walkable from outside the gate even when hours are odd; the museum usually keeps shorter seasonal hours (often afternoons, and not every day). Call ahead if youâre detouring from I-10, small-town attractions love to shift schedules without updating the whole internet.
